National University is pleased to announce our 2023-2024 benefits program for our valued employees and their families. Eligibility Information

Employee Eligibility

  • All full-time employees are eligible first of the month following, or coinciding with, their date of hire
  • Part-time employees working a minimum average of 30-hours per week over a measurement period can enroll in medical plan only

Dependent Eligibility

Coverage for eligible dependents is available in the same plans you choose for yourself. 


Examples of eligible dependents include: 

  • Legal spouse (opposite or same-sex) 
  • Registered domestic partner (opposite or same-sex) 
  • Children up to age 26 
  • Children who are primarily dependent upon you for support due to a physical or mental disability

Benefit Enrollment Tips

Review all benefit plans before making a decision. The Benefits Guide and informational videos can be found in the Benefits Resources Hub. The Benefits Resource Center is available as your benefit help line advocate. They can be contacted via email and phone

You will need to waive/enroll each benefit. Even if you do not want to enroll in any benefits, you must provide beneficiary information for your University paid Life and AD&D insurance.

Check your pay statement to ensure your benefit deductions are reflecting correctly

Submitting your benefit enrollment after your benefit effective date may result in benefit catch-up deductions or delayed enrollment
